What is the Need of Nations?

"If you haven't found anyone who's thought of it before you did, you haven't searched long enough."

Seemingly incapable of original thought, I give way to Osho:

Back to the beliefs conversation... I still think he's "being the enemy" because he, somehow, reinforced your thoughts on "atheism", no?

Btw, "nationssssssss(5 secs) are not (5 secs) important..." LOL

I don't think Osho is selling atheism. I think he's suggesting that rather than blindly accepting isms, you do your own search for truth.

  3. Oh, may I suggest that you beware of consumerism?

  4. Let me clarify Nomad. In my view, Osho's philosophy is that people should not follow blindly any beliefs. Instead, human beings should search for the truth and choose to follow what one's think is best for themselves. True. In your case, you're a fan of atheism. However, Osho's idea did somehow reinforce your already existen perspective and support for atheism. Now, tell me, wasn't that a way which led you to a stronger view for atheism? The only difference is Osho's way was a very smooth way...

Nevertheless, I understand your view. Osho's idea is not to impose anything, but rather, enlighten people as if a wake up call. An encouragement for people to stop being slaves of the society's beliefs and such.
Well, I guess we can go on and of with this Osho's debate... lol.

Consumerism?! Nomad, I would call that needs and every-once-in-a-while-indulgence to brigthten up my life a bit more... :P

  5. Needs? Wikipedia: Needs

"A need is something that is necessary for humans to live a healthy life"

    Indulgence? Wikipedia: Indulgence

    Are you kidding me?

But ok, I assume you mean: Gratification. Wikipedia: Gratification

The thing is, note how you related 'Needs' with 'Pleasure' and both with the act of shopping.

I would suggest that you read: Wikipedia: Anti-consumerism

But by doing so you might consider me your enemy, so I won't do it :)

  6. Can we judge each other's needs? What's mine might not be yours and vice-versa. How about indulgence? I guess it applies the same on the latter concept.

Lolololol!! Nomad.. the enemy part was cool and funny!! What an Osho fan you're lolol.
